so ive kind of stumbled upon a new job, though it's only for one hour on weeknights and i only do it when another person can't come in. the garver swim team is sending two kids to districts, which arent till the end of march, and the y insists on having a lifeguard there even though they can obviously swim. it's really great though, i sit there, read, and get paid for it. of course, i still have the giving lessons gig. :/ libby said she saw the schedules and we both work every tuesday and thursday, and even a wednesday or two is thrown in there. im so glad im not doing track; i couldnt handle it all.

my legs. are smooth! it's a strange, lovely sensation. we had the shaving party tonight after the last practice of the season. im going to miss the social aspect of it; i wont really get to see the seniors much now. but we went out to pizza hut tonight, have districts all day tomorrow, and have our party on monday, so im not going through any kind of friends withdrawal yet. yesterday the gals played the guys in water polo, and we tied, so there's going to be a tie-breaker monday night. so, yeah. ive been hiding out in the war room strategizing. and for some reason that word doesnt look right.

it's quite likely that im going to have to get my tonsils out. one more time with tonsilitis and snip snip, out they come. ive never had surgery before, and im not afraid of it or anything, but it's not exactly an intriguing idea. my eyes dont light up with anticipation when i think of knives and blood and being unconscious and pain. then again, getting inflamed melon-sized tonsils 3 times in 2 months isnt pleasant either. i had to go in to the doctor's today after i woke up nearly choking on them, they were so expanded. ew, i know. which made for like..the most hectic day ever.

everyone's on vacation. kristen and barbie are in mexico, but it's okay, 'cause everybody in the whole school reminded them at least once not to drink the water. suzy is in the bahamas. me, im in the cove. how exotic.
