wow. i havent updated in 12 days. this is from wednesday:

well, i have a second summer job lined up now. raystown called to set up an interview, but i eventually cancelled it because i had an interview with lakemont on monday, (it was basically just me signing forms and my supervisor getting my suit size). i have a feeling the summit interview may have gone differently- i had the most terrifying experience on the phone EVER with them yesterday. now i know why i have phone phobia…the supervisor called me asking if i could answer a couple of questions. i said sure, thinking it would be some thing along the lines of ‘when will you be able to start?’ but apparently the folks at the athletic club are a bit deeper. they must presume potential employees to be the philosophical type, because my questions were: “how do you define personal success?”, “what is your greatest personal strength?” and “what are important qualities in an employee?” holy shit. i wasn’t prepared for that. i made a complete idiot out of myself, but i blame her for asking me that ish over the PHONE. i cant imagine what the actual interview would be like, but i don’t have to find out because i cancelled it. i left a message saying i would be willing to work for them in the fall though.

my dress is in! they called yesterday, finally. we’re going to try to get free alterations, because, you know, i ordered my dress over three months ago and it comes in 3 daysbefore prom. i got it altered today, by the way, and i saw it in my color (black) for the first time. i like it, although if id seen the black one before i got it im not sure i would’ve gotten it. the neckline is soo pretty, but there are these vertical bead strands going down it, and most of them end near the hip, but there’s this one that goes down almost to my knee…it looks out of place, but the english person doing my alterations convinced me to keep it- she said it made me look taller. i think i would let people with English accents do anything they wanted with my dress. so, yes, prom is in two days. i don’t think i mentioned our colors and theme- colors are lavendar and dark purple, theme is ‘what dreams may come’. we’ve been cutting out paper leaves for the past week over lunch. i think everything’s going to look nice, though. we still don’t know what we’re doing afterwards.

ive hardly been able to make it to any cheer practices because of work, but I went saturday and started backing! backing has been, like, a high school career-long dream for me, but i thought id never get to do it since im so short. we’re ALL short this year, though, so i can take a crack at it. i caught my first cradles from a low and a high (i was on my tippy toes for that) and tried reloads, which i sucked at. i heard the schedule for next month has practices on tuesdays and thursdays too, so i wont be able to make it to any of those. and worse still, they’re going to have the choreographer come in the second week of july- which is when tara and i will be in Europe.

what else? ahh yes, schedules.

today we had a breakfast for elementary tutoring, and they gave us flowers :D my psychology teacher ruined the whole spirit of the day, though. he got all mad because we didn’t tell him we weren’t going to be there (even though we all brought in excuses) and said he’s going to take off points on these presentations we had to do. i really didn’t like him very much before, but i have no respect for him at all now.
