you'll die trying to live this down

[prom: part 1]

the decorating actually wasnt too stressful save a few lighting problems, and we ended up taking the trees down (our weeks of leaf cutting, wasted) because they looked bad. but the stage looked really nice, tara's dad made these awesome columns with lights in the middle of them and purple fabric on the outside, and they're the most difficult things to describe but...yeah, ill have pictures when i get them back. i took two rolls into walmart today but it was too late for one hour photo, so i guess ill go in tomorrow before work. we got out of there by 12, so i actually had a few minutes before i went to get my hair done. i went in at like 1:30, because my appointment was actually at 2 but she wanted to put me in hot rollers awhile before she started with it. i had a lot of time to kill so i put on these pre-glued fake nails while i was sitting around- NEVER get them. if you're going to get fake nails get them done professionally, because by, like, an hour into prom more of them had fallen off than were left, so i just took them all off. and they're hard to drive with. anyway, once she got started with me it only took 45 minutes or so to do the whole thing; i knew what i wanted because of the trial earlier in the week. i actually loved it, there were twists going back which she put into knots, and the rest of it was pulled up and curled kind of loosely- but not tooloosely.
so i got out of there at around 3:15, came home, finished getting ready, and was all set by 4:15. this was when the limo was supposed to pick me up. ..this did not happen.

and im tired, and tired of writing about this specifically, so ill add the ever exciting conclusion sometime.

i called in and scheduled my senior pictures..may 29th. i wanted to wait until school was out, but if you get them earlier you get more discounts, which i need because they're going to cost $600 at the LEAST. my dad flipped; he wasnt even going to let me get them done at a place that costs that much, but i said id pay for them. (i probably wont.) they make everyone look really nice there though- the prom picture background was from moments and it was just gorgeous.
