woo baby, high fidelity is on! john cusack, yay. <3 i got called off again today. just because it was raining at 9:30 in the morning, and my shift didn’t even start till 4. they woke me up, to top it all off. i was talking to libby and she said suzy was in there and didn’t want to work, so i called up emma and asked for suzy’s cell number, but stupidly i mentioned why i wanted it- and emma decides SHE wants to go in instead of me because she hadn’t had any hours at all this weekend. i didnt want to let her, but she didnt really leave me any choice (she more told me than asked), and i guess it would have been wrong to leave the annual family get together. so i stayed through that... 'where are you going to college, laura?' 'what are you planning on majoring in, laura?' 'where do you work again?' 'what's your senior project on?' 'what, you havent STARTED your senior project yet?' honestly, i exaggerate the horror of it- it wasnt that bad. really, though, that wasn’t the coolest thing of emma to do. libby might be quitting the y, which is good for me because it means more hours, and less work, actually. with seniority comes benefits.
i have to clarify something because a dear guest book patron informed me that chris sounded a little too much like creepy chris. and i can see where the connection can be made because of his name and the fact that they were both attracted to me (which is rare in these here parts), but i assure you all, it’s not him. creepy chris is long gone… but i think ill refer to chris as chris s from now on, anyway. he actually hasn’t been acting strangely lately. we talked online last night, and he didn’t say anything that scared me…he also didn’t say anything about our relationship-that-isn’t. we actually talked in person (wow) coming home from ny last Friday for about 15 minutes.
